Zakat is one of the five major pillars of Islam. The Ashar Foundation is inspired by the Islamic core value of Zakat. Zakat is the act of charitable giving to those who are less fortunate, living in poverty, or experiencing times of crisis. By practicing Zakat, we are dedicated to servicing the global community through an array of humanitarian initiatives. We are devoted to community service, and uplifting populations by providing relief to those in need with essentials such as food, clothing, healthcare, education, and housing. Our organization is currently focusing on three causes: providing free medical clinics, alleviating hunger within our communities and providing financial support to those facing medical emergencies.
